Are there any HD dealers left that discount parts 20%? There used to be a bunch of them.

I have found that neither Boardtracker or Surydyke is a full 20% off. I am planning a front wheel upgrade and priced the parts from them as well as Newcastle Boardtracker is the cheapest at about 18% discount. Surdyke about 13% and Newcastle in between the 2.

While Board tracker has pretty good prices I have found their shipping and handling to be higher.

 

I've found the best overall price (including the shipping) for me has been with forum member pcpain. he (jon Horton) is the parts manager at horny toad hd in temple texas. they don't have a website to order from, but if you email him, he'll get back to you with a price quote. I've been ordering from jon for several years now, and he has consistently beat everyone else's prices.

My local H-D dealer is a full msrp dealer but gives 15% discount to Veterans so it generally is not worth going to the internet to save a few pennies. I have found out some of the 20% discounters have shipping and handling fees that more than make up for the difference in my local dealers final price and theirs.

Also, My dealer has free coffee and donuts for the early morning shoppers and free hot dogs and beer for the lunch crowd. Of course limits apply on the free beer.

 

I've gotten 20% from Manchester on a few expensive items.
