Who went to the Lone Star Rally? I'm thinking of going next year. Post some pics.

 

I went again this year. Weather was great and a great turnout.

 

I had put in vacation in hopes of going but my request was denied.

 

I know someone who went but I don't know if he took pictures. He asked me to go but he lives several hundred miles closer than me. And I hadn't planned to go anyway.

 

I really like the first picture, those chaps look real nice around that body!!!!

 

We went to the Lone Star rally this year. Tried to go last year but it rained all weekend. It rained on Friday on the ride down and on Sunday on the way back.

We haven't been to this particular rally since 2006 - it has grown MUCH MUCH larger over the 10 years or so. I heard 400k people as a number in attendance and I would believe it, it was crowded!

All vendors are basically the same that you see at any other rally hawking the same t-shirts, patches, stickers, metal polishes, waxes, cigars etc. We have grown tired of going to rally's due to same stuff different location especially when there isn't really any good riding.

All said, we still had a good time and may go back again in 10 years

 

A friend of mine does the stage for the bands every year. I told him I was coming down this year but he had to leave. I told him I was definitely going next year, so expect me.

I've gone the last 3 years or so and had planned to go this year but ended up having to work thursday, friday and saturday. Was going to go down sunday but it poured all day. I only live about 20 miles from the rally so...
