Default Air temp sensor location

Hey guys and gals, I need some help. I just installed a oil temp gauge in place of the air temp. But I cannot find the air temp sensor, any ideas. I have a 2009 ultra classic.

Thanks for any help.

its under the front faring, follow the wire its usually near the top off to the side of the radio

I'd just cut the wire, or just leave it under there, unless you were planning on using it ever again, Which I know of nobody who has ever done that

This is an '07 FLHTCU. I think they changed location, not sure of year, to get it out from under the batwing to get more reliable readings. It's just next to the fuel gauge

I just let mine dangle.
Didn't want to have to insulate a bare wire.

Are they still putting those useless gauges on the Glides? I had an 04 EGC and that POS guage was always about 20-30 degrees higher than the actual temperature.

This is where the air temp sensor is on my 2009 Ultra Classic, near the grease zerk on the neck. It's gone now just in case you are trying to find it.

This was a photo someone posted of a later model sensor location on another thread. i believe the sensor is right in the middle of the photo. Forgot I saved this.

Almost as worthless as the fuel gauge!!! I rarely look at mine.... it is 10-15° higher than ambient temp. Fuel gauge is for reference too....as far as I'm concerned. I still reset the odometer at each fill up and use that as my gauge. can never figure why they still install useless gauges.....
