Default Returning a purchase.

OK, so with cool weather approaching I cruise over to the Harley dealership yesterday to buy a genuine Harley-Davidson jacket. Now granted it doesn't get that cold here in Florida but I have in the past I've found it a bit too brisk riding to work at 5 am in the mid 40's low 50's in just a long sleeve shirt. So I pick out a pretty good looking jacket and agree to pay the stick-it-to-me price of $168.oo tax included.

This morning I'm looking at the specs on the coat and I see, "This garment designed with special air-flow material to provide maximum comfort on warm weather rides." Maximum comfort on warm weather rides? Who in bloody hell would wear a jacket in Florida on a warm weather ride? So I hold it up to the light and sure enough, you can see right through it in several places! WTF? Idunno about anybody else but I wear a jacket to stay warm, not to stay cool. Personally I use sunscreen for UV rays protection not a coat.

Come 9 am I'll be off to make the return. Hopefully they won't give me any tussle like trying to charge me a 20% restocking fee for walking it from the bag to the rack. Because when it comes to my money and my sense of what's right, as Kid Rock once said, "YNMAMFQLM!" I'll let yooz know how it all shakes out.

With a receipt & tags, you should be fine.

I have a warm weather white mesh Harley jacket. Its hot when stopped on a hot day, however when moving it is much cooler than a sleeveless tee shirt. I use it on long trips in 90 plus weather.

Some dealers are funny with their specific return policies. For example, if the item is a "one time buy", or on the "clearance" rack, they may balk. If you have a relationship with the dealer, they may waive any exclusions.

Taking it back should be quick and easy ... just like a divorce, right?

I wear a mesh jacket all summer long. Like was said if you're stopped you'll heat up a bit. But as soon as you move it's like ac was turned on. It keeps the sun off me and makes for a much more pleasant ride. My new one has a liner that's waterproof. Jacket is good down to 50's with the liner in. And keeps me dry is any rain.

Should not be a problem returning it unless it was marked clearance or no return. I have taken things back to dealership that I received as a gift due to wrong size etc... never had an issue

Just don't roll in there with the attitude "YNMAMFQLM" and your receipt and you will be fine.
