Default Carlini Gangsters too wide?

I know there are a million carlini gangster threads, but I can't find much info on the width. I'm looking to get 14" 1.5 gangsters, but they are 41" wide! That seems awfully wide to me. I don't have anyone around me that has them so I'm a little hesitant to pull the trigger on them. I really like the curved look, but I'm afraid they are going to be to wide for me. I'm 5'9" so I think 14's will be perfect for me. People who have gangsters, what do you think? Are they comfortable? To wide? Any other options for bars that have that gangster curve to them with out the width? Also feel free to post pictures of your gangsters! Thanks

5 minutes with a hacksaw, and you can have them any width you need.

They taper down on the ends to fit the grips, the rest of the bars are 1.5" thick so I can't just cut the ends off because I won't be able to fit the grips on.

My girl is running them on her 13' CVO Road King - she's 5'2" & 115lbs - she has no problems turning them.

I put a pair of Yaffe's on my bike, and they are 39" wide (wider than Yaffe advertised). I ended up taking them off the bike after only a couple of days because they were not comfortable. I ended up going with 12" Wild1 Chubby's which are 36.5" (the 14's are the same width). I am 5'10" and the 12's are a little below shoulder height. Width, pullback and wrist angle are perfect IMO. 41" wide 14" bars would drive me crazy.

I am 5'9" as well and have the 14" Gangsters on my RGC. At slow speeds they take a little getting used to at slow speeds. At first, I was hesitant with the width till I rode it a couple times. I like them wider now and would "feel" weird if I went to a narrower bar.

My $ 0.02 of course.

41" wide bars would drive you crazy? That's only 2.5" wider on each side. I doubt you would even notice it after 30 minutes.

I got rid of my 39" bars that I paid $400.00 after only a few days because they were not comfortable (it actually was worse the longer I was on the bike). The current bars on my SG are 36.5", and it's a huge difference. The wrist angle and pullback on the 36.5's is a lot better as well, so that should also be factored in. Bars with less pull back and flatter wrist angles are worse IMO if they are too wide. The bars on my springer are 31". The 12's on my FB that I traded in for my SG were 33.5" 41" is wide for 14" bars.

I have the 12" Gangsters and for me they're to wide. I'm only 5'7" so I'm sure that's a factor. I wish mine were significantly more narrow.
