I don't like cleaning bikes :(

Damn sounds like we have identicle ideas. I do the exact same down to the bike on the jack so it's at eye level when I roll around on the shop stool. I have never seen how it's a chore or cuts in any to my riding time

It really doesn't get into my time either. I'm usually up at 5-5:30 AM so I do it while the wife is still sleeping. But some days she's off work while I'm out on jobs so she'll clean them up so that we can ride when I get home.

I need to get a lift - I'm gettin' too damn old to lay on the asphalt gettin' wet...
I just gave mine the 'spring is almost here' wash and wax weekend before last; had to get the rain spatter, dust, etc. off of them, get the chrome polished up a bit, check oil & air, etc...took about 5 hours for both bikes, and I could have done 3 more, easy. But they're clean enough to ride now, anyhow.
But to get back to the original topic - I don't like cleaning mine, either. I like to have 'em clean, but hate doing it.

I enjoy cleaning the bikes. Certainly not more than riding them, and I've never not ridden or cut rides short to clean instead, but after a nice morning putt on a Sunday, taking my time with a couple of cold ones it's relaxing to me and gratifying to take care of something that I worked my a$$ off for. Usually only do a big wash/detail two or three times a year and just maintain with wipe downs the rest of the time. I'm with others in believing that keeping your ride nice doesn't preclude me from getting plenty of road time in. What DOES cut in to riding time is keeping the truck, house and garage maintained, along with all the other obligations that come with life, but it is what it is and I remember to be grateful for that.
