Default Accessory question

I have a little credit at HD and was looking for something to get when I came across this:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

Does anyone know how well this self-adhesive works? I would hate for it to come flying off the bike. At hwy speeds that could cause some
serious damage. Looks pretty sweet though.

Items with adhesive that I have used has not come off yet for me. Make sure you clean the area real well before you apply it. I have used soft rubber end clamps before tohold it down while it sets. Or you could you nail it down.....J/K

Trim like that is held down by 3M adhesive tape. Once it is on, it ain't coming off without a heat gun, fishing line or screwdriver.

Installed correctly, this really should NOT give you a problem.

Lots of logos/letteringon vehiclescomefrom the factory using just this type of adhesive.
Not just motorcycles either. Those decals on cars/trucks too. Mfr labels (ford, nissan, etc.) on the back of cars/trucks are a good example.

The one on the pic from your link looks pretty nice.
I would not let the fact that it's applied with adhesive stop me from getting it.

Once it's on, You better love it unless you remove it right away!
