Newbie here. Looking at DK's website, it seems they have great stuff. They sure seemed to get lots of respect here.
My question is, when I go to the HD website and look at intakes, it's seems I need to drop between $300-450 for a decent air box. DK's site has them for just over a hunny. Are they really just as good as products +300% more?
Personally I'm going with the Arlen Ness Big Sucker (don't shoot me DK I'm still dropping a crap load of money your way which I have some questions for you myself). Anyways back to the original issue, you'll find prices ranging all over the place when it comes to parts. I saw grips going for $700+! The DK intake is a great setup and priced amazingly well. From my general experience, Harley rocks on making motorcycles, suck when it comes to mods outside of visual gratification.

Cant speak for the US, but here in canada, after a few trips to the dealer asking for prices, i quickly realized i was wasting my time. Even for the exact same things, they are way overpriced compared to online shops.
I will say that I am only recently back in the game of buying crap for a motorcycle. But, it used to be that Harley Chrome seemed about the best there was. Thicker than about anything else I ever found. Their leather jackets and stuff seem better than most as well.
However, you pay a serious premium for the HD name on anything.
DK seems to be a good outfit (I have not purchased for them yet, however I AM anxiously awaiting the barrel key kit). They support this forum and contribute on a regular basis with pretty fair and unbiased content. Can't ask for much more than that!
hi , i have dealt with DK , excellent ...breather bolts , thunder torque inserts ..etc..
done about 8,000 kms with them ...all good ...especially like the torque inserts , they work ...going to be playing around with them soon and changing angles etc ...
Great service ...
Currently on my bike I have one of the DKCustomProducts Air intakes. I get loads of people asking questions about it when I'm out and about and I send lots of people to DK to buy.
