Default Front or Rear Brake?

Which one do you use the most? I use the front the most and thought everyone did. The mechanic at the shop seemed surprised when I told him that.

Tell your 'mechanic' to never get on a motorcycle ever again until he actually takes some advanced riding courses and truly learns how to ride a motorcycle...

Just, wow...

Only time I use my front brake is when I need to stop.
After early years with no front brake, I don't think I could ride without them.

Rear vs front tire change 2-1
Front vs rear brake pad change 2-1

Which one do you use the most?

Rear..., by a whole lot

The times I do use front - always the rear first (typically in a hard decel)

===================

Do an endo / raise the *** end off the ground..., or front brake into a turn and high side / drop it (fast or slow doesn't matter)

You damn sure will too

=========================

Granted front provides ~ 70% of the stopping power..., but rear must be used to harness / control that ~ 70% - else it'll bite you square in the *** (not if..., rather when)

Mostly rear. I'll use both when coming to a stop or a hard deceleration.

But I use mostly rear brake, engine braking and friction zone.
