I use the spray Neutragena , it is the best I have tried but in the summer I use long sleeve tees, spray my neck and face...started wearing airflow gloves as well.

Both.....

Cover up and wear sunscreen. That way if it gets too hot you can shed the protective clothing but still have the sunscreen protection you. I mean if your gonna be out on the bike in the heat your gonna sweat either way so your gonna need a shower @ the end of the day why not do both

I'm mostly Indian (feather not dot) and don't burn. I seldom use anything, maybe lucky, maybe heritage but, after almost 61 years, no issues.

IIRC Someone on this site recommended this by Neutrogena. I tried it and it works better than any other sunscreen I've tried. Easy to apply too.

ETA CR*P! IT'S NO LONGER AVAILABLE...

When mine runs out may have to try this instead even tho' something deep inside me resists using anything called "Body Mist"...

It is what I use, I like it because it doesn't leave your skin greasy.

They make a regular lotion as well and it's not greasy or heavy feeling at all. It's a bit more expensive but well worth it not to feel like a greased pig. It's the only one I ever use anymore just for that reason. It feels dry to the touch after you apply it.

After 5 skin cancer operations, I cover up with a long sleeve wicking shirt. I used to use 110SPF spray. I still got a tan but it's too oily. So I got the shirts.

the sun can take its toll on me when we are on long trips but last march i found a product in Florida that does the trick... banana boat with zinc

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Banana-Bo...&wl13=&veh=sem

after I found this I was able to ride all day with one or two coatings and no issue with sunburn I was using Banna boat 50 before that if I didn't keep applying all day at every stop I came home with missing skin on my nose

Saw some bikers last year with very light weight long sleeve pull overs on over their t-shirts. They wore they simply for the purpose of blocking the sun. Actually looked comfortable.

Ride safe
And you can wet the long sleeve pullover to act like air conditioning (for about 5 - 10 minutes before it's completely dry again)
