Default Vance & Hines Question

I have my baffle off and it's hallow without any wrap. It's a open end at both ends. It's a pipe with some slits in it. Would wrapping the baffle with exhaust wrapping quite them down? Or, is it missing a cap? Thanks,

It's not missing a cap. V&H makes quiet baffles that (while not at all quiet) will help.

A pic of the baffle would help. Hard to tell if something's missing without seeing it.
Also what kind of exhaust system you have. Is there one pipe or two?
The stock baffle would not be wrapped, but the quiet baffle came wrapped.
I don't know if the standard V&H baffle has enough room to wrap it, but it would quiet it down a bit.

Nope. No cap on those. It's the stock baffle.

I read some people are wrapping the baffles with some kind exhaust wrap. You know what kind of material that wrap is?

Buy one of their "quiet baffles". To me, wrapping might need replacing and a baffle probably won't.

I read a lot of posts that they don't reduce the sound much. 2 decibels. Im also impatient and stubborn 😊

Like Chicken said, you'll only get 2-3 db noise reduction from their quiet baffles, and they are not cheap.
The first slipons I bought were from V&H and they were loud and very tinny. Tried their quiet baffles and it wasn't much better, but got a little deeper. So I installed Big City Thunder QQ baffles. Not cheap or quiet either, but a much deeper tone. Reminded me of a small block V8 in a boat and a lot easier to live with.
Look into the TTI's from DK Customs. Mine were about $30 shipped and they do make a quiet version. They do away with the stock baffles and give a nice increase in low end pull.
