Default Ants in tour pack

So the bike has been under cover for a few days due to rain. I took the cover off today and saw ants all on the tour pack. Took out the liner and thousands of ants were in there with eggs. I sprayed the crap out of them with spray and sucked them up with vacuum. I think they had been in there from sitting 5 months from previous owner and rain just got then going.

Agree on the food. Must have been something left in there at one time.

A handful of cotton *****, soaked in sugar water, rolled in Boraxo powder.

Put the prepared cotton in your pack for a day or two then use the vacuum cleaner to remove the dead debris.

Normally you don't wanna spray ants 'cause they can "bud", which means the split up & form 2 separate colonies, so you've doubled your problem. But in a bike, I don't think it matters since it moves.
They prolly weren't after food; they usually invade 'cause they're looking for water & cooler temps. Most likely temps since you live in Georgia.
Make sure you throw a couple mothballs, or a toilet bowl deodorizer cake broken up, OR a flea collar in the vacuum bag or cup. Otherwise they can multiply in your vacuum. That would suck! HAHAHAHAHA!!

I have a scorched earth policy when it comes to bugs. None are aloud to dwell within about 30 feet of the house and garage. Even my firewood is mostly free of bugs.
Too many incidents over the years like the OP had to have any tolerance at all for them.

Used to have ticks in the garage dragged in by the lawnmower. Now don't have any on the property. Someone else can save the bugs cuz I sure won't.
