Wd-40

I sell WD40 and many other lubricant brands. WD40 was great in the 60's and 70's because there was not much else available to the average consumer. Now I rate it at the bottom. Every time I have a customer ask for WD40 I give them a sample can of CRC 3-36 and they never ask for WD again.
I call that stuff kerosene in a can.

Some of us have been known to spill gasoline from time to time.

I've never tried this but need to, since my bike is cover with them after each ride. And it might help the shine and act as a water repellent too.

We rode in South Louisiana and coastal Mississippi one April/May and had to clean Love Bugs off the bike hourly. When I got home the bugs had left a shadow imprint in the paint and none of the cleaning products would touch them but WD40 took them right off. Of course I then had to do a thorough cleaning and waxing to get the bike back to its show room glory. Had to do BOTH bikes this way. this was about 16 combined hours of cleaning and waxing. The ride was worth it and we would do it again, but not in April/May.
