Thats terrible, one reason I don't want to be on a highway at night.

 

Sad to read this. Very sad. Who knows if he would've made it, if these people had been paying attention? It's just another reason why I ride during the daylight hours...but that's no guarantee, not with drivers looking down at their phones half of the time.

 

In the dark at freeway speeds, drivers don't see hazards in time to react, evade and avoid. Most drivers report thinking they ran over a "carpet roll" when colliding with a body lying in the road. Sounds like a solo vehicle crash that left the rider unconscious on the freeway. Remember, nothing good happens between midnight and 5am.

 

Unimaginable.

 

Dayum ! Makes me remember all the times I have been on the I-20 at night in jeans, Black boots, and a black leather jacket, and nothing reflective doing 75 and 80 MPH.
