I stopped by Toad Suck Harley in Conway, AR yesterday while out for a ride because I needed a new cap. I melted my other one when I put it on the rack on my Cushman scooter and it got on the muffler. Anyway, while there I was just looking around at new bikes. They had a 2017 CVO Limited in the paladium silver/phantom blue. Beautiful bike. ONLY $43,999. The sales manager, who I've known for several years, walked over and said "just sign your name once and it's yours." I told him I would have to sign at least twice because I'd have to sign my divorce papers too. I didn't ask him about the price but they are $3k higher than MSRP. I didn't look at the tag to see if there were any add ons.
I have 3 Harleys and 5 other brand motorcycles, and altogether they didn't cost that much. If I could find a fair condition FXRT under 6000, I'd get close. But then I'd sell the sportsters...

What do you think the profit margin is at that price? Probably 30,000? thats tempting alright.

I'm sure you mean the profit margin for MOCO. The dealer doesn't make near that much. I wouldn't have a clue what the profit margin is for either one but I'm sure it's a lot.
I just found a site that shows dealer invoice. The invoice on a 2017 CVO Limited is $32,799.

Even if I had the money, I don't see the value of a $44,000 bike.
My Dyna Super Glide rides on the same road, same weather, same speed and same direction as the CVO.
I'd step into a Ford dealer and get a stripped crew cab/4x4/F250/diesel for that.
But a divorce, now that is real value.
Yeah, ONLY?!?!?! YIKES!!! That is CVO money and about the norm. I like doing my own thing to bikes so unless I fall into a pool of money no CVO for me.

I have a link to MSRP. Dealer is going to make money or they would close shop. Not justifying the price and markup but 10 - 15K is pretty big.
