Default 06 cam chain tensioner confusion

I can't beleve that I'm opening this but after all the threads I have read I can't seem to find the answer so here it goes . I know the 06 cam chain tensioners were complete trash but I can't seem to find if this included the dyna line. In 06 the Dynas got the hydro chain tensioner are these a problem too or just the spring loaded ones off the other models? My bike has 36k miles should I pull it apart and add an s&is or a zipper cam chain tensioner in or is it fine for a while?

'06 & up Dyna's; and '07 & up for all other Harley's (except Sporty's) have hydrolic tensioners. All hydro tensioners are decent, regardless of year.

I dont know the change interval but i do know it should take less than an hour to check yours and two gaskets. I would want to check for piece of mind if it has 30k or more

As I recall the 06 Dyna's had a problem with bearings in the Trans, more than the tensioner shoes.

IPB

No dowel pins in the inner primary and transmission case. That's a more expensive problem to solve than spring loaded tensioners.

The change was made in the TC96. If you have a TC88, you have the old tensioners. If you have a TC96 or newer, you have the hydraulic tensioners.
