Anybody Still Riding EVO Bikes

It won't be going anywhere as long as I am still breathing.

Oh hell yes!
I wanted an Evo for my first bike. I got my Wide Glide a few years ago and love it.
Just recently, I converted my '02 Heritage to carb, and now ride the **** out of it. It's cool and all, but damn when I hop back onto my WG, the Evo just sounds and "feels" so much better.
My best attempt at comparing the sounds; the Evo has a nice, deep "BOM BOM BOM" sound while the TC88 has a "TAN TAN TAN" with the Volkswagen whistle thrown in.
And, I just really love the look of the Evo. The "blockhead" just looks so clean and simple.

You mean "SEE NO EVO, HEAR NO EVO, RIDE NO EVO" ? Still got the T-shirt, LOL.
Some nice looking EVOs being posted. They're starting to get damn near rare as Shovels around here.

If the EVO is so great why are they becoming so rare? Not a jerk comment, a valid question. I doubt they are all being put behind glass on display somewhere to be coveted. Is it possible the newer bikes have more to offer and the EVO's are relegated to the corner of the garage or back shed? I've tried to want an old bike but it hasn't happened yet because the look of a rocker box or a specific sound at idle are not enough to offset all the other pluses a more modern bike offers.

But the MoCo doesn't support bikes after the 10-year mark, so there may be a bunch of bikes out there that need repairs, or are garage queens etc. What we will probably see is the EVOs become like the Ironheads. Classic runners with their own community and good aftermarket support.
