just got the email with the 2018 lineup and downloaded the new catalog, and the made the fat bob a soft tail as well as the street bob, and there is no dynas in the catolog at all, so I'm disappointed about that of course I got a 2017 dyna wide glide so I'm partial to the dyna models, has anyone heard for sure if they dyna line has been canceled for sure? If so what are y'all opinions on this?

Just checked the website the street bob, fat bob , and low rider models are now softails, no wide glide or dyna models at all, kinda disappointed in Harley for discontinuing one of its best selling lines

Ya the street bob looks kind of funny with no springs on the back side. Looks like the tank got smaller..

I like the dynas it the WG is the only bike I was interested in sat on some soft tails didn't like them the wide glide was my go to and now they've killed it stupid move on Harley's part I feel that was one of the better selling bikes and I see they've done away with the twin cam engines so no more 103 which my WG has the 103 HO

I like the move. They're essentially simplifying their product lines (vertical alignment) and making them better performing. Single under seat monoshock and they've gone to a wet sump to get rid of the underseat oil tank. There is a great article on Motorcyclist about it.

I was really wanting a Dyna for my older age, some that I could just buzz around town on. In 2023 I wanted to buy a new anniversary Dyna, but it looks like that idea just went to hell in a hand basket. Oh well I guess a sportster it will be, or I'll have to mix and match new parts to build my own softail.

I know! Now they will finally compete with the V-Star and Vulcan!

Well then since your WG is a 2017 I'd plan on keeping it a long time.
My WG is a 2007 and I'm going to run it till the wheels fall off.
Then I'm going to put them back on and run it some more.

Yea I'll be keeping it for sure now that they've basically killed all the dynas, which I see they will be going up in value most likely
