Price seems fair, but the cam chain tensioners should be replaced, that's around 900-1000 at an indy. The motor is a Twin Cam, not an evo

I think it's a little high. Also, if it's fuel injected, check to see if it's MM or Delphi. I forget when Delphi began. If it's MM, I'd pass.

twin cam with spring tensioners and MM fuel injection. service history will tell if the bike is a deal or a time bomb. MM injection is kind of a bastard child around here, bur mine works well. they dont like other than stock ssetups, as it is not a closed loop system (no o2 sensors to monitor mixture), and retuning is non-existant. most go back to carb when MM injection craps out

My old 01 FLHT had a carb, worked great.
I did the tensioners at about 40,000.
They still had some life left but were brittle (so it's a good idea to change them IMHO).
If you are handy with a wrench they are not that hard to do (just takes a little time).
I think it cost me just over $100 to do it myself.
As much as I love FI bikes, there is something about the old carbed bike with the that low idle sound.

My addl .02... The TC88, I owned 2. Never had a stitch of problems with either. Is it a time bomb - f, no... You just have to replace the tensioners which is not a design defect but a maint item..

Seems like a fair price. Just make sure the cam chain tensioners were recently inspected or replaced.
