I haven't used the Ride Planner in years because I found it difficult to play with. So I went to the address in Narrdog's reply to see if it had changed. Saw the "View Full Help Menu" and figured I may as well learn the right way to use this thing. Clicked on it and up pops "File not found". Bad start. Closed that message & fooled around with the Ride Planner site for 15-20 minutes and still find it frustrating. Must be me.
Just give me a map and a few stick 'ems for my windshield and I'll be good to go.

yeah it takes some tinkering around on to figure it out. really not much difference in that and google maps as far as route planning but I do like that it gives you HD dealer locations and best western motel locations that offer HOG discounts and rewards. you can download the app to your phone and be able to look at your saved trip plans

Too hard
I agree the Ride Planner is too hard to use. One of my friends suggested I look at MyRoute-App and so I did. It's free to join, and if you like it and want additional levels of features, then it is about $25 a year. It's real easy to use, update, and there is a feature to increase the waypoints so it goes exactly where you want it to go.

It’s funny when the Ride Planner topic comes up. It’s almost split with people either hating it and not being able to figure it out, or people having no issues with it at all.
Myself, after reading a few threads and watching one YouTube video, found it pretty simple and had no issue creating a bunch of rides for a week long trip that worked perfectly.
