Interestingly, yesterday I spent Easter with family, including my mother and father who are both in their mid-80's. Out of nowhere, this thread came to mind and I recognized how lucky and blessed I was to still be able to celebrate with my parents. Sometimes we forget to not take certain things for granted. I also realized that fond memories of past holidays, family events, etc. are what fills the void when those loved ones are no longer with us. Make memories when you still have the time.

Hi All,
It has now been just over two months since Dad passed. I have watched the forum every couple days and began to wonder if the thread would just sort of end at some time. Thank you for keeping it going. It has gotten a little easier for us but needless to say it still hurts. On a brighter note, a friend has a 2009 Honda Shadow and I have been riding it on the college parking lot for several days. I "borrowed" some safety cones from work and have been doing pretty well with the turns, etc. My class starts in a couple days and I am very much looking forward to it. I have talked Mom into selling the house and coming to live with my wife and I. She wants to travel and we want her to go enjoy life and see some of the places she has talked about. Yes, This will turn into a "book" post again. I started Dad's Ultra, drove it to the end of the driveway but didn't quite make the u turn. Very heavy and hard to push it back, I will get the hang of it. Now I realize that I am posting under Dad's sign on again and of course getting emotional again. Thinking about what my user name might be when I get my endorsement, etc. God bless and thanks to all of you for your support and yes as always, "wishing you nothing but warm sunny days ". I wish we were all neighbors.

Glad to hear you & your family are moving forward, one step at a time. Very best to you all. Good luck on your course, you will learn a lot there and your comfort level will increase. As to your forum name, do what feels right to you. My thought, maybe use your Dad's and add a "b" after it. Anyway, just post up here what you decide on, so we know who you are on here!
