Thank Yo
Thank You. A couple more things for everyone to perhaps keep in mind. VA hospitals are a good start. Now take it a step further, Google and save names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. of shelters and outreach centers. There is one that's only 8 miles from me that gives out free groceries and a hot meal every Thursday. Look at your clothes, Do you have something that doesn't fit any more? If so, put them in your vehicle. Toothpaste, a brush, deodorant, a blanket can mean the world to someone. Bikers are the most generous and giving people in the world. What better way to keep that going. Can you imagine that person telling someone that a biker gave them help ? Anonymous is best for me but sometimes the circumstances don't allow it. As always, my Dad would say "wishing you nothing but warm sunny days" God Bless you all.

Just found this thread and spent the last hour reading every post. What an inspiration!!
I am new to the forums and just back to riding after raising my family. Brian, you and your dad's words have inspired me to ride more, enjoy every minute life gives you, and most importantly love and care deeply for the people we share this earth with. Keeping your father's words in mind I'm going to work to be a more giving and caring man.
Good bless you all.

Hi All
I have been reading the forum as usual and just took a moment to thank those of you that posted. Delmarva Bike Week starts Thursday. Some of Dad's friends and I have planned on going for some time now. Unfortunately the hurricane isn't cooperating. A lot of rain and wind in the forecast. Everyone feels that I am ready to ride through it. Don't quite know how much fun its going to be or even if the vendors will be open at this point. Final weather check will be tomorrow night and we plan to leave Wednesday morning. No "cager" in the group so we need to pack what we need on the bikes. I had the stage two torque cam installed on the bike and she runs pretty good now. Anyway, hope to see you there. I won't be hard to spot. Aren't too many of us standing at 6 '4 and I'll be with four "old guys" lol. God bless and wishing you all "warm sunny days"

Hey All,
Bike week turned a little better than expected weather wise with the hurricane turning south. I kept thinking someone would walk up and ask "are you Brain", but it didn't happen. That is no reflection on any of the hundreds of kind souls on this thread. Anyway, we had a good time and weather was good for the most part. The main reason I am posting is to give some momentum to my father's wishes. Please remember those that don't have the things we take for granted. Be willing to look deep in your heart. Something I learned while at bike week from a wonderful person with three purple hearts. If you served, thank you. If you didn't spend some time in the military, take some time so " serve" those who did. Thank them!!!!! It doesn't cost a cent to shake a hand and thank them. Wishing all of you "warm sunny days". Much love and respect to you. Brian

So here we go:
My name is Donna and I am Brian's mom. He has been trying to get me to type a message for months now. I don't quite know what to say. My husband was an exceptional man and I was blessed to have so many wonderful years with him. We had our "ups and downs" in life as we all do. I can't begin to describe in words what I feel like right now. There is a void in my heart that will never be filled again. Brian is our son and is becoming a carbon copy of his father, and probably going to extremes at times. He will literally give away things to help someone that he can't afford to replace. Our decision to donate to St, Jude Children's Hospital was a family decision and glad we did it. I have to sometimes reign Brian in a little on limitations in helping people in need. A few people can't change the world. It's a beginning but it will take all of us to accomplish it. A simple "thank you", "excuse me", " good morning", "how are you", "a smile", " a hand shake", "a hug" , are a good start. We are all "family" and if we just start treating others with kindness and respect, what a wonderful world it could be become. My husband's close friends all ride a motorcycle and there are no people on this earth more caring than a biker. So set the example for others and don't sway away from it. And yes, Brian is standing behind me and reminding me to end this with " wishing you warm sunny days". God bless you for your support.

Donna and Brian, like so many others in this forum I can't tell you enough how much it means that you come back and post. Your honesty and your love for the man as well as mankind are more than inspirational. This thread is a beacon and a loving reminder how the human element transcends all things. We can touch people in so many ways, good ways, just as you do. When I find myself in a certain place I come to this thread and start from the beginning. Before long, the troubles don't seem so important and my heart is restored.
Thank you and soft winds to you both.
