My wife used to be bothered by allergies and got a shot for it. Now, she takes a pill...I'm not sure what. But riding never bothered her allergies.

I have TERRIBLE allergies. Dr. Has me on non-drowsy Allegra and Flonase. The allergies still suck, but are manageable on all but the worst pollen days. On those, I just suck it up. I'm not staying inside.

I took Allegra and Flonase for years until last year it stopped working. Doc gave me a sample of some spray thats like a inhaler up your nose. Might be Nasalcort?? Whatever that stuff was it worked awesome! My insurance wouldn't cover it though, $95 a month.
Taking Zyrtec now with Flonase and its working

I got to the point that I built up a resistance to all the medications to where I was either always tired, or it didn't help with the symptoms anymore.
I finally just gave up and live with it.

The interesting thing though, is I never had an allergy until I received a series of deployment inoculations for Iraq and some other shitholes. Had them ever since.

If find most of the over counter 12 hr pills require 2 at a time to work for me, does the job well when they finally kick in. Was the picture of miserable when I lived in the midwest, feel you guys. Allergy season around here isn't near what you deal with.

you have to keep changing it up to avoid the resistance.

I've herd from a few medical professionals and they say to change allergy meds every month or every allergy season so you body doesn't have time to build up the resistance.

I dont know about you but maybe it's an age thing I've noticed as I've aged and more recently in the past year that I've had ANY sort of seasonally related allergies that got to a point of where I had to take something.

Forgot to add this my last post but Loratadine seems to work best for my needs. I'm dry, no sneezing or itching eyes and I get at least the 12hrs they say for one pill.

I'm in Pa so it hasn't hit us yet, but when it does I am miserable. Constant sneezing, sniffling, coughing and watery eyes. Allegra or Flonase have always been fairly effective for me.

It's a few months away for us but it pretty much just gets my eyes so I carry allergy eyedrops. They don't itch till I stop.
