What is you "go to" ride
I am wondering if others have a goto ride like I do. If so, please describe it and post a google (or some other map) link.
There is a an 11 mile stretch of road that I just love to ride. It has nice twists and hills, I do about 70% of it in 4th gear, on and off the gas and brakes a lot (the bike sounds great on this road). It is just a fun little stretch of road. It is about 20 minutes from my home and only takes 15 minutes to ride the stretch itself. When I have just an hour or two to go riding, it is my most frequent destination. There are many other really nice roads just north and west of this route, but I often start my rides here.

I am fortunate enough to have a National Park only a 20-minute ride away. It's where I head when I don't have the time for a longer trip.
The speed limit thru the park is only 60 kph but the road has lots of curves and is well maintained. A real peaceful place to spend an afternoon and you often see some of these big fellas.....

Some variation of this. It is about an hour ride on 55 and 17 through the Plains and Warrenton. If time allows I like to take 55 to Front Royal for a bite to eat and beer and then ride back. I can normally fit this ride in after work during the spring and summer months.
Link didnt work. Its a 50 mile loop from Bristow VA, West on 55 to 17 and back through old town Warrenton.

In my neck of the woods it is hard to NOT have a favorite route/ride. But I live for twisty rides that test my state of awareness every millisecond. And I am talking JUST about the ride, not the other issues that can be encountered on any ride, ie, critters, cages, gravel, fallen tree limbs and a bunch of other side issues.

St. Charles county, MO. Hwy. 94 south of I-64 to Schulersburg Rd. to left on Hwy F, to left on Femme Osage Creek Rd. to right on Hwy T to right on Hwy D and back to Hwy 94. Lots of twist-n-turns and hills in a very scenic area of the country. These roads will drag floorboards, and it is thick woods in the hills, and farmland in the valleys so you have to be aware of what you are doing.
