Default HOG Member$$hip

When I bought my Bob last year, I got a free one year HOG membership.
Now my membership has to be extended.
For this I got a letter from England asking me to pay 69 euro's for the next year.
The brochure suggested that HOG Assistance is included.
To my big surprise today I received another letter from another address in the UK telling me that I also have to pay an extra 55 euro's for the HOG assistance.

So that makes 124 euro's for one year!!!!!

My question is, what do you guys pay for the HOG package over there?

$45 USD for one year membership. This includes what I call the "get out of jail free" one time call for a tow. The value of the tow can not exceed $100 USD.

For an additional $20 US you get the "deluxe" package with unlimited towing.

There is one other package "ultra"package that includes room and board while your scoot is being repaired.

I did the Ultra for $30. I've already used the towing once because of a friggin nail to the rear, so it's paid for itself. Plus, we travel quite a bit, and getting home would be a pain in the azz if we suffered a catastrophic breakdown.

Okay, not to sound stupid but I guess I will read up. But got my Fat Boy in March. What exactly is the big benefits for the hog membership? Is it mainly for towing?

That's one reason. There are others. Go to hog.com and you can use the ride planner. Some dealerships offer HOG discounts. You get exclusive access to HOG events, though I don't personally go to many.

If you're just looking for towing services there are better deals out there. If you like other things they offerthen maybe it is worthwhile. I sure wouldn't pay what they are charging you. (Roughly $166 USD)

Personally, even though I have a HOG membership that came with the bike I upgraded my auto club membership to cover my motorcycle. Much better coverage and only an additional $27 annually.

Oh, and don't forget the HOG magazine...it surely implies where the sun rises and sets.
