Default Can you believe it?

I got an ad in the mail yesterday for a local Harley dealer having a sale on all new 2016's!

I thought those would be gone by now.

I guess the motorcycle market is worse than I thought?

Maybe they were overpriced, with added dealer markup. set up, freight and salespeople unwilling to negotiate. I would walk away from a new '16 too

Interesting, or could it be that you're 2 years behind reading your emails?

Hopefully the dealer discounts 2 years depreciation from the price.

No, it was a card in the mail, and the sale ends 3/25/18.

Back in 1985 I bought a brand new 1982 Honda CB900F, 20 miles on odometer, sitting in dealers back room. Weird things happen, think was saving. Cant imagine multiples tho...maybe a typo and should be 2017s

Scary.

Early 90's: Get on list and wait a year for your new Harley (except Sportster models)

Now: "We're having a sale in our new 2016 models. It ends March 25th, 2018."

I've been trying to get dealers within a 200 mile radius of me to make me a decent deal on left over 2017 RGS. So far they have all quoted me MSRP as the sale price. I laugh and tel them never mind.

I guess dealers don't understand they are selling a brand new one(two in Op's example) year old product. Who eats the depreciation, the buyer or the dealer?

There is a Triumph, Moto Guzzi dealer near me who advertising a few new 2015's not too long ago. They were marked down but not as much as you might expect. But in dealers defense I have seen year or two old used low mileage bikes like mine advertised for more than I paid for mine new. Both by dealers and private owners.
