Well my wife went into labor at about 10:30 on thursday morning,went to the hospital and checked in. Got her an epidural (sp) and she was good untill she started to push. The epidural stoped working and she pushed for 3.5 hrs without any drugs. She was in alot of pain but she was tough and got through it. The baby was face up and didnt want to come out, so a C section was in order. They didnt want to use general anastetic on her becuase of risk to the baby, so I made the decision to try the epidural again( by this time 8 doctors have tried in 5 different spots to get it right but couldnt). So the head of anastesia came down and got her hooked up with some good stuff. no more pain. The C section went great and my first child, Cole Robert Johnson was born on 22 Jun 07 at 0007. He is 7lbs 13oz and was 2.5 weeks early so we was a pretty big baby. Him and mom are doing great at Balboa Naval hospital. Just wanted to share the news. Ill post pics of the baby as soon as I can.

Congrats on the new addition to your family. Glad everything worked out fine for your wife and child. You get a real appreciation for women after seening them go through that don't you. It can and is a VERY nerve racking experiance for sure.
