Default Two (or more) in the Garage?

Lately, I have been kicking around the idea of buying a second bike. Last fall, I traded in my 2011 Street Glide for a brand new 2018 Street Glide last fall, which I love - it has my touring/long distance riding needs covered 100%. I really like the M8 motor and am having a great time with it. But, I was thinking I might also get into a totally different second bike, something I could bop around town on. So, I am looking around at Deuces, hoping to find a nice one. I am 6'2" and always liked the leg room on a Deuce.

If you own more than one bike, what do you have and why do you have more than one? Share your story & some pictures.

Why do you need stroking? Do you get off with this one-up crap?
If you want another bike,, get one. Many of us have more then one.
If your REALLY curious,, I have another bike because i like to ride it.

Got 3. My 07 Dyna with 96,000 on the clock, by the way, it's cammed, carbed and bored to a 105. My Wife's 2004 XLH 1200 Custom that she loves and rides the hell outta AND our 1977 XLH 1000 project bike. She had foot surgery, so she can't kick start the Ironhead any more. We RIDE ALL 3! For us, it's not a hobby . . . it's a way of life.

I started out with a 17 Breakout, the bar hopper, although I have done a few long rides on it. It's fast, fun and what you want to be riding when you get to bike week. That said, I just bought a 18 Road King because I actually want to ride to bike week. I am 51 and have been resisting buying a bagger till now. Just as I did when I finally traded my last Wrangler in for a Ram, I am asking myself why the hell did I wait so long to do this.

Used to have 2 bikes in the garage but I kept riding 1 of them. The Ultra Classic and not the Heritage Special.

So it made no sense to keep the Heritage as much as I liked the bike.

So I sold it.

I never understood why someone would have multiple bikes IF they rode only 1 of them.

I have 3. 2005 Fat Boy, 2017 RKS and I recently picked up a 2016 Sportster 72. It’s funny...I held off on buying myself a Harley until I was well estabished financially, and the first one, (the Fatboy, which I bought when I turned 40), brought with it some buyer’s remorse because I had never indulged on myself like that before. I swore it would be my one and only. Well...we can see how THAT worked out. I really enjoy riding all of them and am glad to have them as each one is so different than the others.

I worked my a$$ off for many years and continue to do so, and as a result, have the means to buy them outright without jeopardizing our financial security or compromising our savings and investment goals. I’d say to you “do it” as long as it won’t break the bank and you feel that you’ll get use out of both.

Big Harley, couple little Harleys (never have too many Harleys), couple Russian sidecar rigs (for hauling grandkids and groceries), Yamaha trailbike I don't know why I'm keeping, Honda 750 V4 that needs carb work and is so low on the priority list my daughter will probably sell it for junk when I'm gone, couple Honda scooters, one with a sidecar, figure they're keepers and the Russians aren't, and a pathetically underpowered Honda 250 Nighthawk that belongs to my daughter but I suspect she doesn't really want to see it again. I think the parts Honda is still hiding somewhere, too. My garage seldom gets a car in it.

I'm staying at 2 for now I have enough trouble paying attention to them both as it is. Problem is I have nice 88" shovel engine and enough stuff to build 2 more if I ever get around to picking up another frame of some kind.
