Warranty Forever Offer...
https://adfarrow.com/warrantyforever
AD Farrow dealerships here in Ohio now have(limited time?)a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty on their bikes. You probably have to have all services done there. Wonder how they handle or allow DIYs. Have it on certain "certified" used bikes too. Says no catch, no gimmicks. Guess you wouldn't have to buy an ESP there? What if you buy a bike there, making it your "last Harley" and they change hands or go bankrupt and you didn't get a standard Harley ESP? Seems like it "could" be a good deal in some situations, plus AD Farrow is one of the oldest dealers around. They do have nice places, been there more than a few times & they're not pushy. Only have bought t-shirts there so far. Maybe time to upgrade to an M8 with them? Then it would be "my last Harley".

everyone of those 'forever' warranties that i've seen all have the stipulation that all services must be performed by them. could get downright expensive in the long run. in 50,000 miles, you would have paid for 11 services. at an average of $400 per, that's $4400. if you diy, you could pay less than $700 for those services and have $3700 set aside for 'warranty' or paid half of that for the esp, and still have money to burn....

No thanks. The free warranty is too expensive.

Lifetime warranties are crap. The fact they call it a warranty is misleading in itself since warranties can only be issued by a manufacturer. Dealerships use these "lifetime warranties" as a value building tool. The cost of the "lifetime warranty" is generally around $300 and yes they will pass the cost on to you. Those "lifetime warranties" don't cover anything that actually breaks, don't pay full labor rate if at all, and usually have high deductibles. Remember that it's just a sales tool for the dealer and also they don't expect you to keep the bike for more than a few years. Every time a dealer gets you in for service is an opportunity for them to trade you up and into a newer bike. For example your bike breaks and the "lifetime warranty" covers a few components but not all. Your bill with labor, deductible, non covered components, etc totals a few grand. Wouldn't putting that money into a newer bike make sense? The dealer is counting on it and on stealing that trade in of yours to resell for a huge profit.
Tell the dealer that all you want is the basic manufacturers warranty and / or a manufacturer branded extended service contract with comprehensive coverage.

As always, "the Devil is in the detail". I will just gaze into my crystal ball for a moment and postulate that paint, chrome, powder coating, oil leaks, electrical faults of any nature and anything that can be attributed to fair "wear and tear" are not covered. In the meantime you are locked in to main dealer servicing for the rest of your natural life.
It's just another sales gimmick dreamt up by "sales professionals" whose main skill is extracting cash. The good guys don't indulge in this kind of nonsense.
