Default Touch-Up Tips

Hey all, traded in the street bob for a street glide a couple weeks ago. Got a good deal on it because there are some scratches on the bottom edges of the bags (guy said his wife just couldn't handle the weight and putter on her side a couple times at slow speeds). Anyway, suggestions about cleaning those up? Should I use some super fine sandpaper to smooth the edges down and then apply touch up and clear coat? Or just apply the touch up and clear coat and caller good?

You can purchase a new bag bottom for something like $300.
Ask me how I know.

Many of the HD touch up paints are two parts, so its a bit of a challenge to get it just right. I had similar area that I fiddled with to get it as close as I could. I did a very light sanding with like a 600 grit and then started with the base and then top coat. The "Langka" does help the process using their Blob remover process. Take your time and you can get it pretty close.

When I do chip repairs on customer's cars that is what I use. It doesn't look "Perfect" but nothing will

If I can't see it without taking the bags off I don't care. I ride my bikes, not look at them. I did get caught in a downpour yesterday and wiped down the new bike but just the paint. Now I go for a ride. Just me.
