Default The Wall That Heals

Last night I had the honor of riding as part of a large group (approx. 160-175 bikes) as escort for The Wall That Heals, a scaled replica of the Vietnam Wall memorial. It is here in S.W. Pa, at a town called McKeesport, about 5 minutes from my house. The actual display starts Thursday evening. The tractor trailer that delivered it turns into a mobile classroom. Here are a couple pics. I will get more pictures when I go to see the exhibit.

Yeah,, been there done that when one of the many rolled through here last year.
Got all warm an fuzzy,,
Then I watch'm slam together the cheap dented tin display with greasy hands.
I came the day after that to see it,, the greasy paw prints where still on the dented tin.

Had the privilege of escorting and seeing it as well maybe 8 years ago. Very cool.

They had one of those mobile, mini walls at the Cripple Creek Vets ride a couple of years back.

I have escorted that twice.
Once with the old, metal one. and this year, their brand new one that looks like actual granite. Was amazing both times.

I wanted to be part of the escort it in , but I had to work. When I saw the escort on the news that evening ...why didn't I call in?

Where is it at? Renzie park? I live a little up river in forward township. Hopefully the weather cooperates for the display.
