Default Not what I was expecting!

I submitted photos to Rumble On to see what they would offer on my bike. I'm selling because I have arthritis just about everywhere and it's becoming too painful to ride. I saw that others had luck going this route, so figured what the heck. I did go down on the bike with a front end washout, cosmetic damage only, all parts were replaced and I let them know this which I'm pretty sure is reflected in the price.

Info on bike: chrome front end, painted inner fairing and upper controls. Calipers powdercoated to match paint. Chrome Agitator wheels. Khromewerks 2+2 bars. FM 2-1-2 ceramic coated header, high flow air cleaner and high roller slip ons. Klockworks wrapper front fender. Aquatics AV radio with color screen.

I realize the market is soft, but I wasn't expecting it to be this soft. They offered $8700. Looks like I'm headed to Craigslist or my local dealer who always buys bikes.

A couple of pics added for judgement purposes. Let me know what you guys think.

What I think? It’s a beautiful ride and perfect blue in a saturated market. Period. I’m too new to Harley to contribute much more but I’ve also read it’d be best to part out all your bling first to recoup those costs. Good luck!

Why did you mention to them that you went down with the bike? Any buyer will use this as a reason/excuse to try to lower the offer price. If the bike rides good and it doesn't show in Carfax I would not mention it.

I think their standard offer is approx 50% of the current trade in value ....

The market is so soft right now...even asking "low retail" NADA on CL you may not even get a call..or someone will want to trade you a Ford Pinto for it.

I would be interested in hearing what a dealer would give you for it.

Sucks to be a seller right now...and that is not likely to change.

If it's the 2012 then the price is a tad below low retail. Since they are buying it to resale it doesn't seem that off, especially for one that has a wreck history. You are selling to a dealer not an individual so all your bolt ons are meaningless. Private sale you might be able to get something for the additional stuff if that's what someone is looking for. Volume dealers just look at stock values.

You didn't say what mileage is so really any response you get is uniformed.

I would say that is a very fair offer. They would probably be lucky to sell the bike for $10.5k

Claimed the wreck on insurance, figured they'd find it anyway. Just trying to be honest.

Guess the market is softer than I thought. Have to wait and see.

Doesn't sound like you have a urgent need to cash from the sale, why hurry? Put the price you want on it and list it locally.
