Default "Why Are You Riding So Much?" Bizarre Question

I was just asked "why are you riding so much?"

I was a bit stunned by the question and responded with "why are you walking so much?"

It's my preferred form of travel. It's not exceptional, extraordinary, unusual, or a novelty to ride.

It curious how non-riders view riding.

I would have said: "Because I don't have time to ride more." LOL …

I used to get asked this a lot. It's simple, I love to ride!
However being me, I'd normally not indulge the question and would just smile while changing topics or walking away.

I get asked that. Some people are just idiots.

Tell them "I get homicidal if I don't ride."

The upper seat tube broke on my bike. I didn't have time to fix it for 10 days. I was getting pretty crabby.

Had an ex gf that thought it was just weird that a bunch of grown men would get together and just ride around aimlessly for hours on end, she just didn't get it.

I finally convinced her to come with us just once (she was afraid of bikes) and had a hard time getting her off the bike after that, now she "got it"

I ride as as much as possible because it's what I love to do
