Default Grip Lock (protects your motorcycle from theft)

Anyone use one of these? https://grip-lock.com/home/
Don't have a need for one, but its interesting compared to a disc lock.

I see that as similar to the dog choke chain collar I used on my '71 Kawasaki H1 while attending class at UNLV. It prevented my scooter being stolen for about 3 weeks. Then one day I was late for class and didn't take time to use my 'security chain'. While I was in class, my scooter was stolen. Sometimes the "second to clip/cut" something may prevent a theft.

We had an armored car stolen here in Vegas a few years ago, the entire car. So nothing is totally safe. The purpose of locks is to cause a thief to find an easier target.

All you would have to do is break the brake lever off and be gone. they are pretty soft.

I use the Orange HD Disk Lock. No bike of mine using it has ever been stolen. Knock on wood. But, if someone really wants your bike they’ll get it. Stops amateurs.

For better protection, chain Orville to your bike:

Have always done the same thing with a pair of handcuffs..... Use the other cuff for a helmet lock....

Agreed. if a group of guys picks it up and throws it in a truck, no lock will help. Am guessing this is meant to give a visual deterrent for a potential thief, but clearly ways around it.

if a thief wants to roll it onto a truck and then part it out, sure.

Though if one wants to somehow sell the bike 'whole', seems this would create a degree of work/repair to then sell the bike on the back end (maybe that's what bike thieves plan on anyway).
If an ABS bike and this drains the system of fluid - just equals headache to me and slower turnover. If DOT4 it could hit the paint too....not good.
Unclear how cutting the line would affect a linked brake system?, I'm guessing cutting the line would affect front and rear brakes (?) in that case. Even more headache. Nothing worse then stealing something one cant sell.

Normally a couple of cheeseburgers takes care of most pets. At least at my house if you are going to break in you have to do it after 9 p.m. The dog goes to bed at 9 every night no matter what's going on.
