Sold my 2016 low rider today!

Here in northern Ohio, dynas typically sit on the sales floor for months, I've seen some sit for well over a year, before they sell. They just aren't popular in my area. Dealers discount them drastically just to get them out the door. Harley now doing away with the dyna line (big mistake, imho) makes them even harder to sell. At least that's the way it is in my part of the country. Now if you have a Street Glide, or any other bagger, you'll have no trouble selling it. Funny how certain areas cater to certain motorcycles. Personally, I absolutely LOVED the Super Glide Custom, one of the nicest bikes I've ever owned, but around here, you can't give them away.

FWIW, I felt lucky to sell my '14 LR w/12K miles to a HD dealer for $9500.00 2 years ago...it was a quick easy deal and the same bike is listed for sale now two years later at a different dealer for $9500.00 retail. It still has 12K miles, they must have bought it at an auction. They would probably sell it for at least a thousand less...it has a stage one w' a slip on muffler.

KBB is WAAAYYYY over on bike values. NADA is much more realistic. Also, twin shock Dynas are not very popular in my area. They're selling at rock bottom prices. I traded my 2014 Low rider in last year. Had about $2500 in pipes, forward controls, and lots of other goodies. I got $9200 trade-in and the dealer sold it two days later for $10,000. The reason I know is because my wife and I were going out to eat, and the bike was sitting in the parking lot. The guy that bought my bike was at the same place, so I got to talk with him. Dynas don't sell well in the midwest.
Some could say I was a dumb *** and yet to each his or her own. I bought the bike new in 2016 and put a 120R on it NEW. I sold the 103 new for 3K. I had 22800 into bike with extras and even if I paid 16900 for it I still would have lost my ***. I got the pleasure out of the performance and loved the bike but was surprised that no one would jump on a great performing bike for my asking price of 10500 couple months back. Someone would have got a bargain.. Low riders are not the bike of choice except to special people who want a lowrider. I guess its baggers.
