Default 2000 883 Hugger

I just bought a 2000 883 hugger from a lady (who kept very good care of it) but I cannot find a picture of a stock 2000 883 Hugger. Mine has both speedometer and tach - the pictures I have or seen only a speedometer is on bike. I want to get rid of all the JC Whitney BS off bike and I want it to be just stock. Can anyone help with pictures or point me right direction. It would also be nice if someone could help with a download of a owners manual. Thanks in advance

Found a vid of one that just shows the speedo, no tack. Looks stock.

Default 2000 883 Sportster

Well, I got this 2000 883 Sportster for a 1994 Suzuki DR125 (there was some work on the DR that had to be done but it was a good bike withand a thousand bucks. The bike was at the point of just starting to turn into a rust spot. Spent yesterday cleaning up and pulling crap off and she looks pretty good. Will post picture later. Does anyone know where I can get an owners manual (free). I rebuild British bikes all the time and everything that is needed is on line for free. Anyway would love to take for a ride but it has been raining non-stop for a week.

upflying - is this the hugger model, how was the Hugger models different

? - If so on my bike I wonder where the duel tac and speedo came from? Of course I understand it is 18 years old and mods are made

Yours has front crash bars, mounts for saddlebags, forward controls, a small windscreen, passenger seat and sissy bar with pad. Either that's not a Hugger, or someone went t oa LOT of trouble and expense to change it.

I think Huggers have a lower seat and suspension, but I'm not an eggspurt on them.

Very cool.

Can someone explain what that pipe is for near the air filter connecting the front/read exhaust pipes, and what years Harley did that?

I would reckon it is a balance or crossover pipe. Exhaust dumps into two mufflers, less back pressure and also less noise..don't know what years.

That speedo/tach combo could be a dealer add on. I had an 04 and the dealer added the tach for a whopping $295 (included tach/bracket/installation). Might be genuine HD not "JC Whittney BS".

Looks like a cool bike. Many happy miles and smiles to you.
