Default Harley tool kit list of items

I used to have a Harley tool kit on my 98 EG which got into a wreck and got towed. When I got it back the tool kit was strangely not in the saddlebag. I couldn't prove I had it so I didn't turn it into the insurance company. I never used it so I never really noticed or recalled what was in it because I never used it. It was in the saddlebag for side of the road use if I ever needed it, which I never did. Every time I ever worked on my motorcycles I used tools out of my regular tool box at home. I now have an 02 Ultra and 98 Sportster custom

Instead of buying a specific Harley tool kit, I was thinking that I've got plenty of spare tools and could probably make my own without spending any money.
I might make two of them so I don't have to move it from one bike to the other. What I'm wondering is what I would need to have in the tool kit. So far my list is

3/8 5/16 7/32 3/16 1/8 hex head sockets or L tools
1/4 1/2 9/16 5/8 3/4 wrenches
vice grips
Screwdriver with bits

I'm sure I left something out. Is there anything else I should have in a tool kit?

Thinking I should make up a tool kit for myself (probably have duplicates of everything in my garage). This list for Cruz tool kit from Revzilla seems to be pretty good:
  • 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 9/16", 10mm combination wrenches
  • 8" adjustable wrench
  • Locking pliers
  • 5/8" (16mm) spark plug socket
  • 1/8", 5/32", 3/16", 5/16" hex keys
  • T25, T27, T40 Torx keys
  • 6-in-1 screwdriver with bits
  • Mini ratchet
  • 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 10mm socket set
  • 2" ratchet extension
  • Spark plug gap gauge
  • Electrical tape
  • Mechanics wire
  • Threadlocker
  • Tire pressure gauge
  • Zip ties
  • Roll-up polyester 3.5" x 9.5" case

Thanks for that. I did a google search prior to posting but didn't get the results I was looking for, which was more specifically a list of items in the Harley tool kit. Obviously there are more things that one should carry in addition to the standard tool kit, but that wasn't the question. I also did a search in the forum search bar but I typed in the words Tool kit, or items in tool kit, and this didn't answer the question either.

Thanks for the list and sizes. I thought perhaps torx keys might be involved but didn't know what sizes.

i carry the innovative storage solutions bags that fit in the bottom of the saddlebags. obviously won't help on the sporty. i keep in there everything i need to work on the bike. if i'm doing a job at the house, i try to use that tool kit. if there is a tool that i need, i look at whether or not it is something that i would be doing away from home. if it is, i grab it out of my big toolbox, put it in my toolkit, and then buy a replacement for the house.

I also carry a small compressor that plugs into my cigarette lighter, and the 'stop 'n go' mushroom plugs for flats. I've never had to use it on my bike, but have for others. add in kickstand spring, kickstand bumper, maybe a bulb or two, some zip ties, maybe an oring or two.

Oh, so you just wanted a list of what was in the H-D toolkit? Sorry, I missed that part of your post.

Cruztools and Windzone offer nice kits. Or build your own.
