Default Big Bore, worth the money?

Hey all,
I have a 08 Ultra-105th anniversary,
stage 1 kit, s&s true duel pipes and rush slip on's.
Just bought some 255 cam's and debating on a Big Bore 106" or 107" kit.

Worth the money doing a 106" or 107" Big Bore???

Not with the 255 cams, change cams to go with bigbore might be just depends on what you are looking for.

I have an '09 that FuelMoto did a 107 with the 555 Woods Cams and low end and passing power are very nice. The issue I have with mine now though is heat. from the 96 to the 107 there was a noticeable jump in heat.

.I just did an AMS (Ft Worth, TX) Hi- Torque Pork 105 kit a few months back on my 96" 2007 Dyna. No head work, CV-40, Stand Alone Ignition system, SE-255 cams and a 9.9:1 CR. Pulls like a locomotive from idle to 6300 redline. A very quick bike that does not need to be downshifted to pass and it didn't break the bank putting together.

Realistically you’ve got over 1/2 ton of motorcycle there; fully loaded. Depending on budget, expectations and DIY skills I’d go with drop on 110” jugs and slugs and some S&S E-Z start cams...followed with a GOOD dyno tune.

You’ll get all different opinions on the best set up, my .02 is there is no replacement for displacement. 107, 110.... Go as big as your budget allows.

Google and eBay can be your friends.

I did this build on a 2010 heritage I had some years ago. Extremely dependable and quite satisfying (well OK a bit more than just satisfying) when the Throttle is opened.

KB409C, Kieth Black Silvolite 103" Hypereutectic Piston Set
26H, Andrews Camshafts Note: If you avoid the (popular) Harley SE 255 Cams, you can skate by without Compression Releases as the Dynamic Compression is just (as in barely) low enough.
Harley SE Heavy Duty Clutch Spring
0.030" Head Gasket, Cometic
Used 96” Cylinders (eBay)
Bore 96” Cylinders for the above 103" Pistons
RA8HC Champion Spark Plugs
Top End Gasket Set
4 Quarts of Oil
1 Oil Filter
TTS MasterTune

I already had the Exhaust and the Air Cleaner. Air Cleaner your choice, but a 2:1 Exhaust is best for power.

Foolish idea, although most posters here will cheer you on to bigger and bigger bores. How much passing power do you need in West Branch, Michigan?

Whilst there is no better improvement then displacement, one can tap into what is there to make instant
power.
There is nothing quite like a well tuned 10.5 tightened down to where it should be with all the goodies.
You open it up, it things HAPPEN right now!
Instant response!
What to do?
Proper head work, CCed, Squished, propper rings, Cam and ETC etc..
Most people will tell you bigger is better . ..sure, but anything done right will even be better.
Adding more cubes without asking more per cube is a waste..
Have a goal of at least one to one no matter what cube you are running.
Get your monies worth.!
