I used to run service in Houston for a large burger chain. After a while, dealing with jackasses, I took the laid-back approach to situations like you described. I'd stay back 6 or 7 car lengths and let all the vehicles that wanted to get in front of me. I couldn't believe how much my stress level went down.

I made room for 3 cars in front of me and 5 cards pulled into it.

People make me laugh when they say crap like this. First if you are dead or injured, right of way doesn't matter.

You see guys on bike refuse to give up their lane when someone is coming into it, cause it is theirs. Crack me up.

Rule off road is, bigger vehicle has right of way.

Lane splitting in Texas will be awesome. The problem is, how soon will the word get out for everyone to know and not be fu*ktards towards us.

I do not envy you. been on some of them Houston interstates where traffic is bumper to bumper 70mph + and there is only 3 inches between your car and the car next to you. driving in traffic doesn't usually bother me, but I found it more stressful than even driving in dc.

Ever think it would just be better to move? They need ditch diggers everywhere.

So, in other words, "3 on the flop, a turn, then the river". Sounds like a game of Texas Hold-on!

I know, I'm here all week!

I don't think a single person who has actually done it has said lane splitting is a bad idea. The only criticism comes from those who don't know what they are talking about.
