I own an 08 ultra with 65,000 miles . going on a 4-6 week road trip with my wife , so i am changing to V&H true duals and screaming eagle air cleaner . I will be pulling a small cargo trailer on the trip. Looking for a dealer / or a shop WITH EXPERIENCE to tune the bike . any recommendations ? THANKS

Don't know where in NJ you are, but Bergen Harley has a dyno.

Started reading this thread and just called Bergen HD, as I find myself in a situation that I'm looking for a professional tune. Couple of years ago I put in Andrews 57H cams in my Switchback. Bergen HD's parts guy Mike was awesome in helping get parts that I needed. At that time, I had spoken to one of their techs and they recommended the TTS tuner.

Just got off the phone with them and they are only using the Screaming Eagle tuner now due to EPA. They also said they can't work on my bike because it is now too old. I get the sense they are only modding M8's, or current production bikes, again due to the EPA regulations. Tis a shame since I'm 10 min from them.

To their credit, they recommended Spencer's in Belleville, NJ. Last year, I researched a true "shop" to get a good tune. I came up with Black Hills in Rockaway, NJ (Tel (973) 983-0200). Spoke to their guy and their preferred tuner is the TTS. They, along with Spencer's, at least from discussing with other bike owners in the area, are the top picks I've come across. Horsepower Cycles in Maywood is another I've heard about, but no experience.

Hope that helps.

Yeah no bikes over 10 years old. Seems strange, I know a lot of people not happy about that.

That's gotta be a dealership choice. My dealership will work with any tuner.

I left bergen for the same issue , ever since she opened up the hudson valley dealership a lot of great people left ! I have an 08 and garden state has no issues with that . call and talk to barry the service manager , great guy !! I will only use the screaming eagle because I do long trips and want to go to any harley dealer if there is an issue.

Not sure what other modifications you have done to your bike, but from what you list, it's only an exhaust and air cleaner. The simplest and easiest solution is to purchase a Dynojet PowerVision from FuelMoto and get one of their canned maps. You are now good to go and will have a tuning device with unlimited support.
