Heh, thanks. I know it's a lot to read. All good. Heres a pic of the last test set up with the klock werks and JES. I'm going to try the freedom shield again this week. I'm just trying to get suggestions on 1) taller shield, 2) much shorter shield and take cleaner air to the face, just get it off the chest (although doesnt help with rain), or 3) modify the 18s for a vent. It feels like I'm sitting back in the tallboy seat right where the air coming off the shield is starting to drop onto the top of the helmet.

had my first ride with my new, 18" long ride shield. I was amazed that there was just about zero buffeting. absolutely none on the head. it was pretty bad with the stock shield. I'm highly impressed with it. Got it on sale for just under $90 shipped.

It may be an optical illusion, but those fangs don't look like they're installed correctly. I thought they went INSIDE the windshield mounts, touching the nacelle.

If they're too far out, they may be sending more air through the gap, and they may not be doing as much for you as they could...

I've never run them so I don't know, but it would be worth looking into.

If you wear a full face, just ditch the windshield. The dirty air without it hits pretty much right at my waist. No buffeting at all and no real “pushed back” feeling from the wind since it hits low. Looks cooler too.

Seeing you wear a FF, why not just get a small deflector that will just keep the wind off of your chest.

I agree that gap looks way too big.

Should look more like this:

I think this guy figured out your problem. That space may be making things worse.
