Default Securing your bike while road tripping?

With the weather getting nicer and wanting to plan road trips was wondering how you lock down your bikes at hotels?

I have the HD keyless system with alarm and would also fork lock it, anything else? Disc lock?

Thanks everyone!

This is why I have insurance. Ride your trips and don't obsess about theft

Security chain, if you can chain it to something. I've toured the whole country and never had any any problems. But a thief will get it if they really want it.
Good insurance coverage is the best thing to have.

Disk lock with siren, and a hidden kill switch. If I'm traveling I carry a cable to secure the bike to an immovable object/

Remove detachable, fork lock, lock the bags, go to sleep.

First year used a disc lock and parked it in places that made everyone look at me.

Maybe I am niave. But do Harleys really have that much of value these days, other than to us?

Good point. I don't think mine does.
I still lock the forks and use cable and lock to secure to whatever. If only for a little piece of mind.

make sure you have enough funds available to Uber to an airport and fly home if necessary

Not everyone can afford or wants a fancy dancy new motorsikle. I think I am safe. Any thieve will pass over my piece of **** to steal your new state of the art Harley Davidson. With enough insurance to cover a flight home plus another new ride.

Ask the motel if you can park at their entrance, they usually don't have a problem with bikes parked under the canopy by the front doors. They have cameras pointed outside so it should be safe enough. Lock the forks and take anything of value or that you use out of the saddlebags/tourpack and leave them unlocked. I bring raingear, tools, phone charger, gloves etc into my room and basically there is nothing left in the saddlebags but half used water bottles, beef jerky that kind of thing.
