Tack 'em to your triple clamp. That'll keep 'em from moving!

I've also heard of guys cutting shims out of a beer can and putting it between the clamp and the bars.

Paper will get wet and disintegrate, wire mesh will crush, rubber tube will slide around. I've tried all of them on my 03 RK with 18 " apes. The solution "I" used was.... Drill a hole on both sides of top of clamp and into bars(not too far or you'll hit internal wires), then tap a steel roll pin into holes leaving a small amount sticking above clamp to grab with vise grips if you have to remove. I'm 6' 245 lbs and use the bars to pull bike back out of parking place. Had them on for 13 years with no problems.

I have had the yaffe clamp on 2 bikes now. 16s on the road king and 10s on the limited. Its awesome. Its a shame its buried where you cant see it. I wish yaffe bars were as good as the clamp.

For a cheap easy fix simply put a star washer between the riser and the bars.

When you tighten the bars down the points on the washer dig into the riser and the bars and they won't move.
If you want to change the angle later simply loosen the clamp move the bars do desired position and re-tighten.
