Default Is this a true statement?

Is this true? .... The faster you want to take a curve, the more you have to lean.

I find on my Road King that if I slide over on my seat and hang over the bike to the inside of the corner the bike is a lot more stable and feels better. Counter Steering creates the lean, leaning into the turn puts your weight where it needs to be to keep the bike stable.

Watch racing videos those guys shift their body weight to the extremes.

It has taken a long time, but I think I am finally taking curves the way we should be. I looking where I want to go. I am finding that the faster you want to take the curve (ie the less you want to slow down) the further into the curve you have to look.

I attribute this to my Road King. I find the Road King to be an very agile bike on the road. (However, its a monster at very slow speeds) I am not at the point where I have to shift my weight and hang out on the bike yet, but I am taking curves much faster than before.

I like that picture of the Road King on the track. You must have prescient vision!

Sweet! MikerR1 is resurrecting his epic countersteering thread.

I've got the popcorn covered if somebody else can bring the soda.

The enjoyment that counter-steering has given me is pretty much beyond description.

This thread is worthless without the schematic curve diagram.
