Default Good & Bad- push button ignition switch. Should I get it or not?

Hey guys, I own a 2017 iron 883, and looking to change some things up. Came across this “DK Customs” push button led ignition switch and was wondering if it’s a good thing or bad thing to add to my bike. Saw a 40sec clip on YouTube showing it but it doesn’t go into pros and cons. Was wondering y’all had any input.

Oh bull ****! My 2000 Wide glide had solenoid problems, so I drilled a small hole in the solenoid cover and put a long screw through it with a small O-ring to keep the water out and a wing nut. I was never stranded after that. If you have a key to your bike and can lock the Ignition, you have no worries.

Why not ask @DK Custom Products ? He's a pretty decent guy; I think he'll be straight.

Well you are right, and I stand corrected. I looked up the you tube video and I can see I wasn't on the right page but I am now.

There's an old saying in the world of motorcycle mechanics, "If it's not broken, keep fixing it until it is"

Some of the most frequent posts in here are from people asking for help because they installed "X" on their bike and now it does "Y"

If you're a good competent mechanic and want to put parts on your bike, enjoy !

I have crates full of what sounded like a good idea to owners at the time I've pulled off over the years, what kills me is some those gizmos are still out there being sold.
