Victorys new touring bike
This bike is just plain ugly. They are trying to copy the Honda Gold Wing and the BMW.

I think Victory is in financial trouble. The dealer here in Long beach has boarded up showroom window that was broken 4 months ago and still has not been replaced. The place looks like a ghost town.

RE: Victorys new touring bike
Saw pics of this bike on the Victory site some months ago.
I like it even less now.....and I hated it then.
It just doesn't look right.
Seems they were trying to be original, but went too far.
A guy at an area dealer (not a Victory dealer) told me that he'd read that Victory was in financial trouble, too.
Don't know if that's true, but it's interesting to read others post similar info here.
I think this bagger is gonna be a hard sell.
Might spell the end of Victory if they're putting all their eggs in that ugly basket.

You've got diehards on both side, guys. I've had people tell me that Victory's are awesome bikes with screaming powerplants right out of the box. I think that Victory is trying to do something new in the touring market. You have to admit, that nothing new has been done in a very long time.
I will be riding one in a while and posting a review on my site. Keep an eye out.

My initial opinion on first seeing one of these about6 months ago was that it looked as gay as a bagful of d!cks.
Time hasn't changed that opinion.
For me (and most people)there must be a balance of form and function. I don't care if it rides better than a Goldwing, handles like a crotch rocket, and has 200 hp; as long asit looks like Richard Simmons on tires I won't buy it.
Should be a big hit with those who drive those woefully uninspired Honda Elements and Scion minivans... [sm=icon_rofl.gif]

Can you say Arlen "By God" Ness?
I saw a 3-wheeler in Sturgis one year that was an exact replica of the Starship Enterprise. Had "Star Trike" written on the side of it. It was nocrazier lookingthan that spaced-out Victory.
