Cool How do you care for Black pipes..?

I just installed my first set of Black pipes. It's a 2 into one. I haven't fired up the engine with it yet. I have always had chrome pipes until now, and wonder how to keep a black pipe ship shape? Any thoughts, or ideas would be greatly appreciated. What products do you use? Which one don't you use?

I just removed a set of Chrome Drag Pipes, so I'm used to noise. I do tend to like a Gnarly, "Get out of my Way" set of pipes anyways...

I use Pig Spit on my black pipes, as well as the engine casings. Works great.

I have read about "Pig Spit" and "S-100" engine brightener. Has anyone used both? Sounds like you spray it on when cold, and wipe off to a shine. The regular application keeps dirt from sticking. Is it really that simple???

How do you care for black pipes? You chrome them

I happen to like the pipes. Post a picture of the full side view of the bike. The right side, of course

They look like Rockstars to me. When I first saw them on a bike, I thought they looked pretty cool. But then I rode a buddy's Breakout that was equipped with them and a healthy 120R about a hundred miles when he moved. I had all I wanted of them by the time I pulled into his driveway--even with a good modular helmet AND earplugs crammed in 'til it felt like they were touching......

It all depends on which motor oil you are using.
