Question for those who ride in the rain with a half helmet
Do you know of any waterproof full facemasks out there? I have a neoprene mask, but after a while, it becomes waterlogged (can it become waterlogged? I'm not sure if neoprene is itself waterproof or not), or enough water gets in through the mouth vent slits/seams, that it seeps down my neck and soaks the front of my shirt.
I've been looking for a solution for a loong time. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Cheers!

RE: Question for those who ride in the rain with a half helmet
Don't know of any facemasks that would do it - the water still seeps between it and skin. Could try a snap on face visor if you want to keep rain off the face.
I just let it water my ugly mug.

Ya,...I squint and slow down to a crawl. I've got issues w/ the rain too. I wear a non d.o.t german shorty,.....can't even do a snap on sheild.
Thinkin mabey I'll do a 3/4" w/ snap on facesheild for rainy days,....some posted the other day that this worked pretty well in the rain.

I've ridden for hours in the rain with a 3/4 and face shield + windshield. Its not so bad. Ocassionaly you wipe off the face shield with your glove. Generally your vision is focused at long distance and the water droplets on the face shield are not noticed so much. Its a different riding experience and kinda fun if you are equiped properly. As long as its fairly warm. Rain and temps below 50 is not much fun.
I have also ridden in the rain with 1/2 and glasses .... its painful and dangerous. I don't reccomend it.

RE: Question for those who ride in the rain with a half helmet
Different helmet types (3/4 or fullface) or snap-on shields are not an option. I always ride with a 1/2 helmet (or no lid if I can), and I'm looking for something I can pack in my roll bag and put on when I'm out and get caught in a storm.
Thanks.
Cheers!
