Go to the hardware store, get 2 small nails, a hammer if you don't have one, hammer the nails into the sole of the boot.

 

Shot of gorilla glue and be done with it.

Pull the other nails off both boots and throw those silly pieces of tin away.

 

Find a good farrier!
