Stopped to see some friends at the local Dealership, not knowing it was Dealer Demo Days. I'm not in the market for a new bike, what impressed me the most was the tractor trailer. Full shower inside and all the goodies.
We had the trailer at our dealership this weekend, our Hog chapter helped in being the escort for the rides. Found out at least the tractor of the semi is owned by the driver. Cost the dealer 6,000 bucks to bring the demos in. I got to rode the new Adventure a couple times.
Never seen the dealer demo days here in
so-cal. I just go to the dealer and test ride bikes. Do all dealers not do it like that ????
One dealer by me does the demo days, the other doesn't, they don't want to pay the price for the demo truck so like your dealer they just let you test ride whatever.

most dealers I’ve been to will let you test ride bikes if you are a serious buyer, they don’t want people coming in all day riding 5-10 motorcycles and then walking away. Don’t blame them, just adds miles to the showroom and wastes salespeople time.
Demo truck is a good way for a customer to test ride every bike they are interested in all back to back and with no sales pressure.
